There will be a variety of walks and hikes in areas consisting of forest, meadows, oases,
and desert scrub. The group meets each morning after breakfast for carpooling and
directions. We meet again around 5:30 pm for socializing and deciding on dinner options
for local restaurants. We will stay for two nights in Yucca Valley at a new Best Western
hotel which provides a complimentary expanded continental breakfast.
About two weeks prior to the trip, there will be a group meeting where you will receive a
packet of driving directions, trail maps, and other information. Carpools can be
arranged at this time, if needed. Details for making hotel reservations will be available in
December. Andy Truban and Dave Danville will be handling the Bird Watchers Club
and Joan Comito will take care of the Walkers, Hikers Club. This trip is available to
members of either club. The Birdwatchers will have a different itinerary.
